Vicky Joel

Vicky has been Director at CSW Sport since October 2018 after being Interim Director since January 2018.

Vicky has over 20 years experience working in the sport and physical activity sector. Roles have included project managing exercise referral projects, club and community development and facility programming and sustainability for a large Local Authority.

Vicky has also worked in the third sector supporting community organisations to become more sustainable and to help local people into sustainable employment.

Vicky has experience in working with a range of partners from private operators to community and voluntary organisations both individually and collaboratively on specific commissioned projects.

Vicky is a sports enthusiast most involved in hockey in which she represented Sheffield Hallam Hockey Club in the National League. Now  predominantly as a coach she was Head Coach of Sheffield Hockey Club for 6 years during which time she led the Men's 1st team to promotion to the National Premier Division after winning promotion in her first year.

Vicky was the Assistant Coach for the Wales Senior Women's programme between 2011 and 2017 and took most from the progression and development of committed female athletes.

Sharon Lea is skilled in delivering high profile service transformation projects to generate excellent performance and multi million pound efficiencies across a wide range of services. Previously Strategic Director at the UK’s largest Local Authority – has held a diverse range of Director positions over 20 years including Environmental Services, Highways & Resilience; Housing, Benefits  and Neighbourhood Services, Leisure and Culture: Museums, Sports, Event and Parks; Adult Education, Libraries and Youth and Community Safety.  Extensive people and budget management skills -Sharon has managed 4,000 staff in diverse roles and up to £750 million annual gross budgets.
